OPEN ARMS INTERNATIONAL
| IDENTITY
Open Arms International is a non-profit based out of Portland that focuses on aiding the community of Eldoret, Kenya. This long-standing organization began their mission with the hopes of providing a safe haven for abandoned children. Quickly their outreach grew, expanding into education, medical, and sustainable farming sectors.
Using beadwork as the inspiration for the organic shapes cutout of the outer ring and reimagining physical open arms, the new identity is both fitting and ever expanding to their mission for years to come. Quicksand was chosen as the typeface for its rounded serifs and open counters which furthers the welcoming mission behind the nonprofit.
